Fallen Soldier Spc. Keith Benson Laid to Rest- National Cemetery- Bourne, MA (01-27-12)
NORWOOD, Mass. (AP) — Family and friends are paying final respects to an Army medic from Norwood who died in Afghanistan. A graveside service for Spc. Keith Benson was held Friday at the Massachusetts National Veterans Cemetery in Bourne. Military officials say the 27-year-old Benson died Jan. 18 in Paktika province in southeastern Afghanistan close to the Pakistan border. The Pentagon did not announce a cause, but said the death is under investigation. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment, 172nd Infantry Brigade, based in Germany. He is survived by his parents and a brother. wbztv.com
