DENNIS, MASSACHUSETTS – Early this morning, December 11, 2025, a reported disturbance at the Tobey Farm house at 352 Route 6A turned into a tense police operation after reports of a man holding a woman at gunpoint. Dennis Police responded around 3:20 a.m., with state troopers and Yarmouth patrol officers providing rapid backup. The scene quickly filled with armed personnel, including those with patrol rifles, as authorities were told the suspect allegedly had a black handgun but no valid License to Carry Firearms (LTC). The woman escaped to her vehicle and drove east to Dennis Public Market to meet officers safely. With the suspect still inside, Route 6A was swiftly shut down for security. The following Hyannis News video documents the intensity, including a trooper blocking traffic. Dennis officers soon persuaded the man to exit, leading to his peaceful arrest. He was unarmed during detention and denied having a gun, saying, “No bro, I never had a gun, bro.” Transported to headquarters, the man remains in custody amid the ongoing investigation. A sheriff’s crime scene unit joined the investigation effort at Tobey Farm, but no charges have been specified yet, and details are limited as the case develops. The following Hyannis News video documents the entire scene leading up to the male being handcuffed and whisked away in a patrol car… HN Reminder: The initial details contained in the above report are based on police radio transmissions and information on scene. The defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
