Main Street fight photos: Shortly before 1:00 a.m. Saturday, multiple Barnstable Police units in downtown Hyannis responded to the Main Street sidewalk near Winter Street for reports of 4 to 5 women fighting. First officers on scene put out a BOLO for a local woman in her late 20s wanted on probable cause of felony Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon involving a glass storefront window. Officers found a cracked window at the scene. A Hyannis Fire Department ambulance evaluated a patient for minor head injuries; the person refused further care. The suspect was last seen walking west on Main Street and was taken into custody without incident about two blocks away. A Barnstable County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Unit photographed evidence. The woman was transported to Barnstable Police HQ for booking. Hyannis News responded to police HQ and was unable to confirm her identity at the time. Back on Main Street, people with the suspect told HN she did not start the altercation. These are initial details from police radio transmissions and sources; the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in court.         Route 149 crash photos: Around 8:30 p.m. Friday, Barnstable Police and Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills Firefighters responded to Route 149 just north of Lovell’s Lane for a single-vehicle crash—a pickup truck into a tree. First responders found the driver already out and walking around. He was transported to Cape Cod Hospital for unspecified reasons not believed serious. Route 149 was closed while tow trucks removed the twisted pickup hung up on the trunk of a toppled tree. Barnstable Police are investigating the cause.     Homeless assault report photos: Barnstable Police assigned to downtown Hyannis responded to Main Street to investigate a report of an alleged assault of a homeless individual Thursday evening. Officers spoke with potential witnesses camping in a doorway. No arrest was made.   Route 28 minor collision photo: A Barnstable Police patrolman and Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills Firefighters responded to a minor motor vehicle collision on Route 28 near the intersection with Strawberry Hill Road Thursday evening. The call was briefly elevated when a child was reported in one of the vehicles. The child was evaluated and cleared; the patrolman assisted with the routine accident report.
