security patrol property check service

ABOVE: At around 9:15 p.m. Saturday, a Barnstable Police patrolman conducted a traffic stop on a small Honda SUV on Winter Street in Hyannis. During the stop, the patrolman noticed a man reaching around as if he was possibly attempting to conceal a weapon. The patrolman immediately radioed for backup. As backup arrived, the patrolman quickly positioned himself to open the vehicle door, gaining a better view and taking control of the situation. When confronted, the man admitted he had a gun in his waistband. He did not have a license to carry a firearm and was placed under arrest. An initial computer check of the firearm’s serial number returned no information. Officers are continuing to investigate the origin of the firearm and whether it may be stolen. In the photos above, officers can be seen speaking with the other occupants of the vehicle, not the suspect. No further details were available at the time of this report… HN Reminder: The initial details contained in the above report are based on radio transmissions and information from police sources. The defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
