ABOVE: Barnstable policemen conducted a traffic stop on a Mercedes-Benz sedan on Nightingale Lane near its intersection with Route 28 early this morning in front of a driveway clearly marked “Frog Parking Only.” Whether the driver identified as a frog remains unclear. The 59-year-old registered owner from North Adams was taken into custody on an active warrant for alleged drug charges in Hingham. A computer check on a second occupant of the vehicle — a 37-year-old man from Carlisle, Massachusetts — revealed prior drug and assault-and-battery-with-dangerous-weapons charges. The second occupant (pictured above) was taken into custody on Class B drug charges after policemen allegedly found drugs during a search.       ABOVE: Barnstable policemen conducted a traffic stop on a Connecticut-registered vehicle on Route 132 next to a Wendy’s early this morning. The 32-year-old registered owner was allegedly driving on a suspended license. A computer check also revealed a recent gun charge out of Connecticut. The driver was taken into custody on the motor vehicle violation and transported to Barnstable police headquarters for booking.             ABOVE: Firefighters and police responded to 1866 Phinneys Lane in Barnstable last evening after reports of an unresponsive woman slumped over behind the wheel of a Honda Accord stopped in the northbound lane. The woman became responsive after first responders arrived. She was evaluated by Barnstable Fire Department ambulance personnel and refused further treatment. Following a roadside investigation, she was arrested for allegedly operating under the influence. HN Reminder: The initial details contained in the above report are based on radio transmissions and information from police sources. All defendants are presumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
