HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS – Shortly before midnight Tuesday, June 9, 2026, Barnstable Police swarmed downtown after calls about a masked figure in all black knocking over town trash barrels and decorative store planters the entire length of Main Street. One caller swore the suspect might even be carrying a pipe. Cops followed the trail of destruction toward the East End and cuffed the masked vandal near the old Flashback Bar near Center Street. That’s exactly when Hyannis News rolled up to snap photos — and the suspect wasn’t happy about it. “Bro, you’re going to bring terrorists to the town… because of my work… it’s not okay!” the suspect told HN. When an officer asked what “work” that was, the answer came back ‘CIA Operative.’ Police later confirmed the suspect claimed to work for the Agency. Real deal or total fantasy?(It’s going to be a #&%*@^%! confirming it through Langley.) But HN has photographed this same character before. On April 20, 2026, the masked “CIA Operative” tried flashing a “special police” badge at a downtown merchant — who fired back with his own realistic-looking fake U.S. Department of Homeland Security “Special Agent” badge in one of the most ridiculous standoffs in Hyannis history. “What in the wide, wide world of sports is a-goin’ on here?” ~ Slim Pickens Click the following HyannisNews.com link entitled “FAKE FED VS. FAKE COP IN FREAK MASK: Two Charged After Police Badges Flashed During Hyannis Standoff” for HN’s initial encounter with aforementioned suspect… As the above Hyannis News photos show, someone left a path of tipped-over trash barrels and toppled storefront planters the whole length of Main Street. Police say their guy is 26-year-old Nicholas Johnson, currently professing to be homeless in Hyannis. He’s already been slapped with three counts of Injury to Real Property for the one-person crime spree, plus Disorderly Conduct — and more charges are coming as they piece together the vodka-fueled mess. Sources say Johnson admitted to being drunk on vodka. Oh, and “her” pronouns are “she/her” — because, as “she” told police, Nicholas is in the process of transitioning to Nicole. When the CIA goes deep undercover, they really go deep! A Massachusetts judge will figure out what to do with “Nicole” Johnson at her arraignment tomorrow in Barnstable District Court. At the time of this report, Johnson was still in custody but expected to be released on personal recognizance later this morning — once “she” sobers up… … and so it goes. (HN Note: I wonder what “Nicole” has planned for us next? Sources tell HN that “Nicole” is no stranger to local law enforcement and was just recently arrested in May on separate charges including making threats and disorderly conduct.  For those keeping score, that’s at least 3 separate arrests in 3 months!  Again: “What in the wide, wide world of sports is a-goin’ on here?”) P.S. – Today’s Hytown Vignette is brought to you by The Cramps… [CLICK IT/CRANK IT! HEADPHONES ABSOLUTELY OBLIGATORY!]   HN Reminder: The initial details contained in the above report are based on radio transmissions and information from police sources. The defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
