Vintage Cape Cod Room Inspo

We have a room over our garage that holds all the things right now. It’s a storage rooms of sorts right now! Oh how I’d love to turn it into a guest room!! I’m going for Cape Cod inspired decor….My hubby has taken me to Cape Cod twice now for our anniversary trips!! And it is one of my favorite places in the USA!! If you haven’t been…it is absolutely beautiful in July!! When all the hydrangeas are lining the houses, sidewalks, and streets, it’s my fav. I love the little sea towns all over the Cape! Chatham being my favorite!! My family on my mom’s side is from Massachusetts!! My great grandparents lived in Massachusetts! My grandpa grew up in Boston. Anyway…when I go visit, it makes me love it just that much more knowing I’m visiting a state where some of my family roots started!! When I think of the Cape…I think coastal towns, water, lobster, nautical things, old sea captains dressed in yellow, old americana nostalgia…just so good!!! Colors: Mustard, Red, White, Blue. My hubs has taken me to anitque stores all over the Cape…and I already have a wooden sea captain. And I love him!!               Here is my darling sea captain!! I want a whole room decorated around him!! ;)   I can’t believe how many decor pieces for this theme I found on Amazon… Starting it all off with the mustard comforter!! The cute hand-hooked wool lobster pillow! The nautical flags!! A vintage American flag!! The vintage inspired Pendleton blanket!!! Ship lantern lights for the walls!! Look at the cute gold “Captain’s Quarters” sign!!
