WEST YARMOUTH, MASSACHUSETTS –  The Yarmouth Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run crash that left an electric bicycle rider injured at the intersection of Buck Island Road and Higgins Crowell Road on Monday afternoon. Authorities are seeking to identify the driver of a black pickup truck, possibly a Ford F150, seen fleeing the scene. According to police, the e-bike rider was traveling on the correct side of the roadway and following all traffic rules when the collision occurred. Witnesses reported that the truck briefly stopped before leaving the area. A nearby officer responded quickly, providing first aid to the injured rider, who was wearing a helmet. The rider was transported to Cape Cod Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Yarmouth Police Department continues to investigate and is asking for the public’s help.
