COTUIT, MASSACHUSETTS –  [HN video notes]  –  As you will see and hear in the following HN Video, Cotuit Firefighters, along with crews from surrounding towns, battled a heavily involved structure fire at 60 Content Lane Saturday evening –  9/27/2025.  Upon arrival shortly after 11:00 p.m., Barnstable Police officers found a home almost fully involved with flames, with possibly one person still inside.  After some tense moments, with officers rushing into the scene to round up potential stragglers, all occupants ended up being accounted for and evacuated safe and sound.  The occupants were young adults in their pajamas.  HN observed one woman holding an infant.  A source on scene reported there was a second baby that also evacuated safely.  The following footage begins with a brief post-fire interview with Chief Sean Brown of the Cotuit Fire Department.  The footage then briefly shows cellphone footage taken by a witness as the first Cotuit Fire engine arrived on scene.  The bulk of footage then shows HN shots of firefighters battling the flames and hunting down hot spots.  The cause of fire is being investigated by the Cotuit FD, Barnstable Police, Barnstable County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Unit, and the Massachusetts State Fire Marshal’s Office.  No further details available at this time.
