HN VIDEO NOTES: The past few days have been eventful in Hyannis, with multiple incidents keeping police busy. Last night, chaos erupted when Barnstable Police responded to a report of an assault involving a masked individual brandishing what appeared to be a firearm. The suspect, a 13-year-old male (see HN photo above), was arrested after it was determined the “firearm” was not real, though the victim was unaware of this during the incident. Police sources indicate the juvenile will likely face charges of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon. Earlier last evening, Barnstable Police pursued a wanted individual who fled into a Hyannis apartment complex. Officers apprehended the suspect, who was arrested on outstanding warrants. Additionally, police responded to a stolen vehicle report in a restaurant parking lot on Ocean Street, Hyannis. The vehicle was later spotted traveling west on Route 6, according to radio transmissions. Other recent incidents occurred, but due to another ongoing project, HN’s coverage has been limited. The following HN Video highlights these investigations and includes bonus footage of a volatile disturbance at a Yarmouth hotel earlier in the week. That’s all for today. I hope to resume full coverage soon. Wishing everyone a safe and splendiferous Labor Day Weekend! [HN VIDEO – PRESS PLAY] P.S. – Today’s Hytown Vignette is brought to you by Eddie Harris… [CLICK IT/CRANK IT!
