Speeding N.J. Rental Barrels Into Quiet West Yarmouth Condo Lot After 60+ MPH Dash Through Neighborhood

Officers were attempting to get close enough to read the vehicle’s New Jersey registration when the car suddenly turned south onto Baxter Avenue — a thickly settled residential street — and continued at estimated speeds exceeding 60 mph. Fearing the driver was refusing to stop, additional Yarmouth patrol units raced to the area. A witness reported the Hyundai eventually barreled into the parking lot of a quiet condo complex before finally coming to a stop for police. Radio traffic indicated the sedan was a rental from Wayne, New Jersey. The driver, identified over the radio only as “Dave” with a last name that sounded like “Sajinski,” produced a valid New York license listing a Middle Village address in Queens, New York. His full name had not been officially released at the time of this report. According to police sources, the man was issued a citation and faces criminal motor vehicle charges. Officers, sources noted, were less than thrilled about the high-speed intrusion into the residential neighborhood in the middle of the night — thankfully, nobody was hurt!   ABOVE: After dark at Keyes Beach on Sea Street in Hyannis, a Barnstable Police patrolman chats congenially with several gentlemen grilling dinner in the park’s picnic area.
