[FBI case photo/ HN edits] BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS — A 50-year-old Wareham man was sentenced in federal court yesterday to over seven years in prison for possessing and receiving child pornography, including material involving infants. Brandon Bendall was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Myong J. Joun to 90 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release. In February 2026, he pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography and one count of receipt of child pornography. Bendall was arrested on May 2, 2025, and later indicted by a federal grand jury. According to court records, he was a member of an online chat group where participants viewed and posted child pornography. While in the group, Bendall posted at least 17 videos containing child sexual abuse material. A search of his home and cell phone uncovered approximately 9,400 images and videos of child pornography, some involving infants. United States Attorney Leah B. Foley and Ted E. Docks, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Boston Division, announced the sentencing. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney David G. Tobin of the Major Crimes Unit. Valuable assistance was provided by the Massachusetts State Police and the police departments of Wareham, Marion, and East Bridgewater. This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, the Department of Justice’s nationwide initiative to combat child sexual exploitation.   P.S. – Today’s Hytown Vignette is brought to you by Ennio Morricone, featuring Susanna Rigacci… [CLICK IT/CRANK IT!
