Young Woman Hurt in Yarmouth Motorcycle Vs. Pickup Crash [HN Photos]

    YARMOUTH, MASSACHUSETTS — A 27-year-old woman was hurt Friday afternoon when her motorcycle collided with a red pickup truck at the intersection of Forest and Winslow Gray Roads. Yarmouth police and firefighters arrived shortly after 4:30 p.m. MedFlight was initially called to Cape Cod Gateway Airport in Hyannis for the female rider, who suffered injuries to her lower extremities, but the air transport was canceled after she was taken by ambulance to Cape Cod Hospital. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, and accident reconstruction was not required. The pickup truck driver stayed on scene and cooperated with police. The truck had minor damage, including a flat tire, but was able to drive away. The motorcycle also sustained only light damage. The Yarmouth Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
