security patrol property check service

HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS — Barnstable Police shut down South Street Thursday evening after a resident reported seeing a man walking past his home while firing some type of gun into the air around 9 p.m. Officers immediately closed South Street to all traffic and launched a search for two males in hoodies seen on separate security cameras walking eastbound toward Ocean Street. One of the men was wearing a backpack. The pair was last spotted in the vicinity of South Street and High School Road. A police source said the weapon was relatively quiet and could have been a pellet gun rather than an actual firearm. (No shell casings were found…) After thoroughly sweeping the entire neighborhood, including side streets, officers reopened South Street. The incident remains under active investigation. The following HN Video highlights police radio traffic, along with officers out investigating the scene.
