  HN Photo Notes: On this bitterly cold Saturday evening in the East End of Hyannis, with temperatures at 13°F (and dropping), police officers speak with an elderly couple and their large dog outside a local business. The seniors, who had been asked to leave the establishment’s lobby, carried their belongings in plastic trash bags. After a cooperative discussion—and with outstanding warrants for the man deferred until after the impending storm—officers ensured the pair and their pet had a warm place to stay for the night. * Please stay safe… and contact first responders if you observe individuals without adequate shelter during the upcoming nasty weather.
