The Select Board has confirmed the appointments of Olivia Keiderling as Student Officer and Reverend Darren Morgan as Police Chaplain, following last evening’s meeting. Olivia, a native of Lee, Massachusetts, and a graduate of Westfield State University, has experience as a Community Service Officer with the Provincetown Police Department. She will be attending the East Falmouth Police Academy on December 1st. The department has a long-standing tradition of police chaplains providing spiritual support during times of crisis, dating back to 2004. The retirement of Chaplain Jim David created a vacancy, which Reverend Morgan is now filling. Reverend Morgan’s career spans serving as a Military Police Officer and Criminal Investigator in the United States Army, followed by his service as a police officer with the York, Maine police department from 1985 to 1990. He then transitioned to the field of Health and Human Services before entering ministry. Currently, Reverend Morgan serves as the Senior Pastor of the Federated Church of Orleans and as a Chaplain for the Massachusetts State Police Troop D. He recently completed the Law Enforcement Chaplains Program at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy, meeting the requirements set by the International Conference of Police Chaplains. We congratulate Olivia and Reverend Morgan and look forward to working with them. Massachusetts State Police
