    DENNIS, MASSACHUSETTS – [HN photo notes] – An 84-year-old man was injured and appeared confused after his sedan crashed into a fence on Route 6 eastbound near mile marker 78.6 on Sunday evening, September 21, 2025, according to sources and radio transmissions. The single-vehicle accident occurred around 11:00 p.m., prompting a response from state troopers and Dennis firefighters. The sedan sustained significant front-end damage after striking highway fencing, scrub pines, and other objects. The driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was able to exit the car on his own but was experiencing confusion, as noted in radio transmissions. He was speaking with medics in the back of a Dennis Fire Department ambulance when HN arrived on scene. The elderly man was transported to Cape Cod Hospital for treatment of injuries not believed to be life-threatening. The Massachusetts State Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
