      HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS – [HN PHOTO NOTES] – Barnstable Police patrol officers detain a young male while investigating a report of juveniles armed with knives chasing another juvenile in the area of Route 132 and Cape Crossroads condominiums Saturday evening – 2/22/2025. In these photos, officers encounter an alleged juvenile victim (out of frame) and an alleged suspect, while additional officers search for others who reportedly fled on foot. In one HN photo, officers search around and underneath parked vehicles for knives and other evidence. According to sources, the disturbance between juveniles was believed to be over money owed. The incident remains under investigation and no further details were available at the time of this report.     HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS  –  [HN PHOTO NOTES]  –  Hyannis Firefighters evaluated the occupants of two vehicles which slammed together at the intersection of Winter Street and Chestnut Street last evening  –  2/22/2025.  Nobody was seriously injured and transports to hospital were not necessary.  The scene was photographed by a member of the sheriff’s crime scene investigation unit and the Barnstable Police Department is investigating.   Barnstable patrol officers responded to the parking lot of a Hyannis Apartment building on West Main Street last evening for a disturbance involving two women.  The call came in as one of the women trying to smash the other woman’s window.  Peace had already been restored at the time of the above HN photo. WEST BARNSTABLE, MASSACHUSETTS  –  One person was transported to Cape Cod Hospital under a trauma alert after a heavily damaged vehicle was discovered crashed into the woods along Route 6 Saturday evening – 2/22/2025 – at around 8:30 p.m.  The crash reportedly happened between Exits 65 and 63 westbound.  Three others were evaluated by rescue, according to West Barnstable FD radio traffic.  Massachusetts State Troopers arrived on scene and are investigating the cause of the crash. DENNIS, MASSACHUSETTS  –  Dennis police and firefighters responded to what was ultimately described as a single-vehicle rollover crash on Route 28 in the vicinity of Waterside Drive early this morning at around 12:57 a.m.  The vehicle struck a utility pole and a fence, according to radio transmissions.  A female driver was transported to Cape Cod Hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.  A Town of Dennis policeman went to Cape Cod Hospital to speak with the driver and continue his investigation, which ultimately resulted in the officer requesting an arrest number for a summons, according to radio traffic.  Eversource was called and it was determined the damaged utility pole would need to be replaced later in the morning, according to radio transmissions.
