I chose to go to Lighthouse Beach in Chatham because I thought it was the best option for me to stay out of the strong wind, which was predominately from the west.   It was a beautiful morning and, of course, there was a lot to see. But what fascinated me the most were the dozens of single eel grass stems coming out of the sand and how the wind moved them about. The sand was dryer on the surface so the grass would leave a mark as it blew over it. In areas where the wind direction changed, near the dunes, mostly, the grass left perfect circles in the sand. In more open areas there were arcs, consistent with the direction of the wind.
