WEST YARMOUTH, MASSACHUSETTS –  [HN VIDEO NOTES]  –  Three individuals were transported to Cape Cod Hospital after an SUV landed on its roof early this morning, shortly after 2:00 a.m.  The vehicle snapped a utility pole just prior to rolling over.  All three were transported under trauma alerts.  All three were banged up, but fortunately none of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening.  Two of the patients were described as being women in their twenties, according to radio transmissions.  The driver was described as a 23-year-old female.  The rear passenger was described as a 25-year-old female.  A Yarmouth Police Officer reportedly witnessed the crash happen.  The investigating officer requested an accident report number, along with an arrest report number.  (No further details at this time…) Early morning traffic had to be rerouted as Route 28 needed to be completely shut down. The upper part of the snapped utility pole was left hanging above the ground, supported by high-tension power lines.  Power was knocked out for a large part of West Yarmouth. The following HN video contains footage from the scene, along with police and fire radio transmissions.  NOTE: Some of the initial transmissions are garbled because HN was down Cape, responding to a search for a missing 88-year-old female in Chatham at the time of the West Yarmouth crash.  (The search ended while HN returned to work the West Yarmouth scene… no official word on whether the woman was located…) [HN VIDEO –  PRESS PLAY]
