***  WATCH ***  DRIVER CHARGED W/ OUI AFTER RUNNING FROM COPS, THEN CRASHING…

HYANNIS, Massachusetts – [DEVELOPING] –  As you will see and hear in the following HN Video, shortly before 11:00 p.m. last evening, a Barnstable policeman radioed that a vehicle had just failed to pull over for him. The vehicle was wanted for alleged traffic infractions. The vehicle reportedly took off at speeds reaching 60 MPH through thickly settled neighborhoods.  For safety, a police sergeant immediately told the officer to cut off the chase. When officers radioed they were no longer in pursuit, the fleeing vehicle suddenly crashed. The driver was captured in a nearby ditch after reportedly attempting to run away on foot. It’s still uncertain whether there were other occupants inside the vehicle at the time of the crash.
