This Morning’s Setting Moon

It felt a bit odd to arrive at Bass Hole in the morning. There were no cars in the parking lot. There were no mosquitoes. Of course, most notably, there was no sun. It was a little spooky, actually.   I was there for was the setting moon, which appeared to be dropping rapidly in the sky as I made my way to Yarmouth. The first photo was taken in the near pitch darkness at a longer exposure setting. Soon, despite the protests from some birds nesting nearby, I walked to the end of the boardwalk to capture the setting moon as it got near the horizon. As a bonus, I was able to capture two cranes, possibly egrets, who were too busy to bother with me.
