You know your morals have gone bye-bye when murder doesn't bother you. You know your ethics are absent when obvious lies occupy your so-called beliefs. And you know your nation has been corrupted almost to the core when it allows murderers to build presidential libraries within its borders.

George W. Bush, the ex-president, who with the help of former VP Richard Cheney, Paul Wolfowitz and a dozen or so other right-wing ideologues, manufactured a set of untruths which eventually led us to war against Iraq in 200 is still walking around free. It is estimated by most sources, that as many as 125,000 innocent civilians were killed as the result of injuries from the U.S. invasion and occupation. The Dept. of Defense estimates 4469 U.S. military personnel have been killed in Iraq since 2003.

We all knew a long time ago that the excuse for invading Iraq was at least a half lie, i.e. the so-called "weapons of mass destruction" which did not exist. And yet the U.S, invaded a sovereign nation murdered hundreds of people on sight just because of their association with its leader Saddam Hussien, killed his children, shooting up his sons, including his 14-year old so badly, that special morgue services were needed to reconstruct their heads so they could be photographed and America's propaganda machine could get a usable print of their machine gun-shredded bodies.

The leader and his cabinet were hunted down and hanged for the world to see. The U.S. under George W. Bush, was literally tearing a nation apart and killing its leaders and people for no reason. The U.S. is still there. First the lie was that Iraq had something to do with the event at the WTC on Sept. 11, 2001. It did not. Then the WMD lie. No WMD. None. Nothing found anywhere. This wasn't a war. This was a war crime.

It was a war crime because of the lies.  We were told "facts" that were manufactured to get us into it and we are still in it. Over 30 U.S. GIs have been killed so far this year. The President of the United States has no right to invade soverign nations unless it proves to be a threat against the U.S. or its interests.   Iraq didn't fit that criteria.  Some evidence had to be created. Special UN weapons teams who did not believe there were WMD had to be silenced. That was easy enough. We sent them packing, and made it look like Iraq had sent them packing. Pretty good trick.

You could, and you would, say, well that Saddam Hussein didn't like us. Well, he would have to get in line for that. There are a lot of nations that don't like the U.S. even some with leaders worse than Hussein ever was. Lousy sons too. Maybe even with a 14 year old son who picks his nose.

Do we invade them, kill 125,000 of their civilians and most of their leadership? No we don't. That would be illegal on a worldwide basis. Nations who do that kind of thing are held in very low regard by other nations and their leaders, in this case, George W. Bush, Donald Rumsfeld, Richard Cheney, and half a dozen other war criminals from the U.S. probably would have been sent to the World Court where their trials would be more fair than anything a U.S.military tribunal could dish out, and they would be found guilty. Most likely they would be hanged.

Leading up to the war, the murderers were almost tripped up by two honest men. One was sent to Africa to track down a document which many believe Dick Cheney already knew was a phony, supposedly proving Iraq's possession of nukes. But the man they sent for the document decided to investigate its provenance and soon discovered it to be a fake.  All of this was in his final report to the President.  Well, Cheney, who seemed to want this war at least as badly as Bush himself, just would not tolerate honesty - under the circumstances. So one of his aides almost immediately put the word out that the honest man's wife was a CIA agent. This of course put the lives of all her sources in the field in jeopardy. But it didn't matter. That would show the honest man a thing or two.

Then there was their real ace in the hole. The second honest man, General Colin Powell, a man loved by many Americans, who would believe almost anything he said. So why not give him a briefcase full of lies and send him off to the UN to sell this war to our NATO friends and any other once-gullible nations that might be present? That is exactly what Bush & Co., did. I remember Powell that day at the UN reading all those falsehoods: manufactured facts, false warnings of imminent danger. And it was obvious that Powell really believed the things he was saying.  But I also remember Powell several weeks after the invasion when he realized he had been hoodwinked by Bush. It wasn't long after that Powell stepped away from public office all together.

Ever wonder who is at fault for all of these deaths? The U.S. is responsible for them. Saddam Hussein didn't kill these people. Osama bin Laden didn't kill them. The U.S. ordered the battle that led to their deaths. George W. Bush led the U.S. And there is now ample evidence that much of his "evidence" for committing this act of mass murder was manufactured, even evidence that he knew or suspected  was false.

So why is he not in jail; he and his lying cronies?   Why  are these people allowed to walk around free? The U.S. insisted on trials in other phony wars, trials whose outcomes were often the execution of the leaders involved. The U.S. will not put Bush on trial for his crimes though, will it?

What will they do instead?  Well, right now they are partly subsidizing the George W. Bush Library which will be constructed on the grounds of Southern Methodist University. There are 13 Presidential libraries. This will be the first one, however that has no linkage with the school. Also Bush's library will be allowed to design and present to the public an entirely partisan view of Bush's reasons for doing things.  Some professors at SMU have already called it a "house of censorship" based on executive orders Bush signed days before leaving office making it almost impossible for anyone to see any piece of paper produced by his administration without his permission.

All the other presidential libraries are run by the National Archives and Record System, but not this one. That's why Bush is raising so much private money to build it. He doesn't want the U.S. government involved. He is one of these leaders of the U.S. government who doesn't like the U.S. government. In fact that almost seems like a requirement for the oval office today. To occupy it you must first hate the U.S. government you represent.

I doubt if many people will travel too many miles to see the library of George W. Bush. Doesn't seem much like a library anyway. Seems more like a lie.
