***  WATCH ***  JUVENILE SEEN CARRYING INJURED UNDERAGE DRIVER AWAY FROM MANGLED WRECK

WEST YARMOUTH, MASSACHUSETTS – [HN VIDEO NOTES] –  A caller told police that one of the juveniles was seen carrying the injured juvenile driver away from the single-vehicle crash on Webbers Path at the intersection with Kristen Path shortly after midnight this morning. The two fleeing juvenile males were the only occupants of the mangled Jeep Wrangler found wrapped around a tree after it had lost control. One of the fleeing juveniles was said to be badly injured, and police immediately began searching the area. A Barnstable Police K9 unit, along with a Barnstable PD drone operator, arrived on scene to assist Yarmouth officers in the search if necessary. As you will see and hear in the following HN Video, both juvenile males were eventually found at nearby family residences. The underage driver was eventually transported to Cape Cod Hospital to be treated for injuries not believed to be life-threatening. The Yarmouth PD is investigating the cause of the crash. A member of the sheriff’s crime scene unit assisted with photos. Criminal motor vehicle charges have not been ruled out.
