HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS – [HN PHOTO NOTES] – A Hyannis woman was arrested for drunk driving early this morning after crashing her Volkswagen Jetta up onto a large rock. At around 3:00 a.m., Barnstable Police prowl cars were dispatched to the corner of Mitchell’s Way and Megan Road after a resident heard a “loud bang” and looked outside to find a car hung-up on a rock in her front yard. The driver (and sole occupant of the vehicle) was evaluated and released by a Hyannis FD ambulance crew. The driver was cooperative with police officers, participating in several field sobriety tests. After she was taken into custody, officers gathered some of her belongings from the vehicle prior to transporting her to BPD Headquarters for booking. * HN NOTE: All defendants are presumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law. P.S. – Today’s Hytown Vignette is a brought to you by Tom Jobim…  [CLICK IT/CRANK IT! HEADPHONES ABSOLUTELY OBLIGATORY!]
