DENNIS, MASSACHUSETTS – [HN VIDEO NOTES] –  The driver (and sole occupant) was said to be “coherent” when a state trooper found him unable to self-extricate from an overturned vehicle early this morning. As you will see and hear in the following HN Video, the driver was eventually extricated and transported to Cape Cod Hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening. The driver – described as being approximately 30 years of age – was banged up, but conscious, alert, and speaking with first responders. State police, Dennis police, and Dennis firefighters were dispatched to the single-vehicle crash at the on-ramp from Route 134 to Route 6 westbound this morning at around 4:25 a.m. Police shut down the on-ramp while firefighters worked on stabilizing the overturned vehicle. Once the vehicle was stabilized, firefighters were then able to safely cut away the windshield in order to free the driver. The driver was then assisted onto an awaiting stretcher without further incident. The Massachusetts State Police is investigating the cause of the crash.
