“There was me, that is Alex, and my three droogs, that is Pete, Georgie, and Dim, Dim being really dim, and we sat in the Korova Milkbar trying to make up our rassoodocks what to do with the evening. The Korova Milkbar sold Milk-Plus, Milk Plus Vellocet or Synthemesc or Drencrom, which is what we were drinking. This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old ultraviolence.” ~ A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess   HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS – [HN VIDEO NOTES] – A Hyannis man is being charged with a felony after trying to stop what he mistakenly believed was some sort of ongoing attack, according to a police source. As you will see and hear in the following HN Video, at around 1:30 a.m. this morning, Barnstable and state police rushed to Main Street and Dumont drive for a report of four males assaulting one male. There may have also been a knife involved. Shortly after HN arrived on scene, a man bleeding from the head was taken into custody. According to a police source, a group of men from out of town were trying to corral and return to their hotel with their friend who was reportedly suffering some kind of mental health episode. A Hyannis man passing by with his female companion witnessed the out-of-towners trying to restrain their friend and mistakenly thought the friend was being attacked. The Hyannis man, trying to a “Good Samaritan,” reportedly confronted the group in an effort to stop what he thought was an ongoing attack. The “Hyannis Good Samaritan” allegedly then pulled out a knife and threatened to stab the out-of-towners, allegedly repeating, “I’ll stab you! I’ll stab you!” (The woman he was with also allegedly repeated “He’ll stab you! He’ll stab you!” according to police sources.) It was then when the out-of-towners who didn’t take too kindly to the alleged knife threat – albeit well-meaning – proceeded to gang up on and pummel the “Hyannis Good Samaritan,” according to sources on scene. In the end, an injured “Hyannis Good Samaritan” was handcuffed to a stretcher and transported to Cape Cod Hospital, bleeding from his head. He was under arrest for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (A knife). The alleged knife was discovered on scene and was photographed by a member of the sheriff’s crime scene unit before being collected as evidence. As they say, and contrary to conventional moral wisdom, “No good deed goes unpunished…” HN NOTE: The initial details contained in the above report are based on police radio transmissions and information on scene. The “Hyannis Good Samaritan” is presumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
