HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS – [HN PHOTO NOTES] – Barnstable Police and Hyannis Firefighters responded to the Bamboo sushi bar on Route 132 after a vehicle crashed into the building at around 2:45 p.m. An elderly female driver was checked out by rescue… and thankfully, nobody was hurt. The building inspector was called to check the soundness of the structure. Patrons were able to remain inside dining as first responders worked the scene. The sheriff’s crime scene unit arrived for photos. The Barnstable PD is investigating the cause of the crash. Just over 6 weeks ago – on April 21, 2025 – police and firefighters responded to the Bamboo sushi bar after another sedan struck the building close to the same spot.
