SOUTH YARMOUTH, MASSACHUSETTS – A man was awakened by a loud crash outside of his bedroom window minutes after midnight this morning. Some of the occupants of the home on Old Main Street expressed feeling relatively fortunate the vehicle did not strike their house. According to radio transmissions, the driver of the vehicle called dispatch saying he had fallen asleep just prior the crash. The young adult male was eventually transported to Cape Cod Hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening. A section of Old Main Street needed to be completely shut down due to a splintered utility pole with dangling wires. The roadway was expected to remain closed until utility crews could repair the damage. The Yarmouth Police Department is investigating the cause of the single-vehicle crash. P.S. – Today’s Hytown Vignette is brought to you by The Ides of March…  [CLICK IT/CRANK IT! HEADPHONES ABSOLUTELY OBLIGATORY!]
