security patrol property check service

Above HN photos:  A young man was arrested by Barnstable Police officers in the East End of Hyannis Saturday evening, shortly before midnight, for assaulting and battering a woman with a dangerous weapon (the alleged victim was not his girlfriend or domestic partner, according to police sources).  He was also charged with vandalism and witness intimidation.  The alleged adult female victim was evaluated by Hyannis FD Rescue for an eye injury but was not transported to hospital.  A member of the sheriff’s crime scene unit photographed the scene and injuries…  HN NOTE: The following stills and video freeze-frames are from multiple scenes across the Mid-Cape late Saturday and throughout the overnight. HN was only able to include some brief photo notes, as it was way too busy last evening to hunt down many details. So, the following HN photos and video freeze-frames will have to do for the time being… because I’m just one lone photographer and there are only so many hours in a day.   ¡Lo siento chicos!   Above HN photo:  Barnstable Police patrol officers responded to Joshua’s Pond in Osterville late Saturday afternoon, for a report that three 13-years-olds were approached by a young adult offering them marijuana cigarettes if they would blow into his vehicle’s breathalyzer device so he could get his car started.  The 13-years-olds were reportedly visibly shaken and “petrified” by the encounter.   Officers arrived on scene moments later and spoke with three young adult individuals standing around a sedan and a pickup truck in the parking lot.  The parking lot was otherwise empty at that time.  According to police sources, neither of the remaining vehicles had breathalyzer ignition devices and the 13-year-olds had already left the scene.  No arrests were made, and the incident remains under investigation.                 Above HN photos: Crews responded to 274 North Dennis Road in Yarmouth late Saturday afternoon for a fire in the basement of the residence.  The fire apparently extended up into the main residence, causing significant damage.  Firefighters worked the scene for hours chasing down hot spots.  There were no injuries reported at the time HN arrived on scene.  HN will provide official updates as they become available…       Above HN photos:  A Barnstable Police patrolman discovered a 15-year-old boy with a severe head laceration after being flagged down on Charles Street in Hyannis early this morning, shortly after midnight.  He was covered with blood and dazed.  It is believed the teen may have fallen off of his bicycle.  A parent was called prior to the boy being transported to the Cape Cod Hospital emergency room.       Above HN freeze-frames: Numerous Barnstable Police squad cars and at least two state troopers responded to the Fogo Brazilian BBQ on Route 28 for a brawl in the parking lot.  Responding officers were on high alert because it was believed someone may have gone to their vehicle to grab a gun.  It turned that there was no gun… and no gun threats.  Officers detained one young man and transported him to Barnstable PD Headquarters in protective custody; he was reportedly intoxicated and not charged with any crime.            Above HN photos: Barnstable Police and Hyannis Firefighters responded to a two-vehicle crash early this morning on West Main Street near the intersection with Old Main Street, shortly before 2:00 a.m.  Hyannis FD EMTs evaluated several patients.  A man and his little dog were both uninjured.  The occupants of a second vehicle were both uninjured.  Both vehicles were disabled and needed to be towed from the scene.  Things became “heated” at one point and a Barnstable Police patrolman needed to step in to keep the peace.  The Barnstable Police are investigating the cause of the crash.   P.S. – Today’s Hytown Vignette is brought to you by Sergio Mendes & Brasil ’66…  [CLICK IT/CRANK IT! HEADPHONES ABSOLUTELY OBLIGATORY!]   * The initial details contained in the above reports are based on radio transmissions and information from sources on scene. All defendants are presumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
