YARMOUTH PORT, MASSACHUSETTS – [HN VIDEO NOTES] –  As you will see and hear in the following HN Video, last evening Yarmouth police and firefighters responded to a single-vehicle crash on Route 6A, just west of the intersection with Mill Lane. The driver was reportedly still inside the vehicle and believed to possibly be intoxicated. The driver was not injured and was eventually arrested on the suspicion of Operating Under the Influence (OUI), according to a police source. The vehicle appears to have left the roadway before crashing into a fence. Damage from the crash rendered the vehicle inoperable. The following HN Video highlights the crash scene and arrest. The defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law. IN OTHER NEWS FROM THE OVERNIGHT:   Mashpee police and firefighters were working the scene of car vs. a residence at 500 Cotuit Road around 8pm last evening. The driver reportedly escaped serious injury. The crash left a gaping hole in the home’s foundation. The Mashpee Police are investigating. No further information available at the time of this report.
