  HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS – [DEVELOPING] –  A woman from Connecticut was arrested for Operating Under the Influence and Leaving the Scene of a crash on Main Street this morning, sources say. At around 9:57 a.m. today – Monday, February 10, 2025 – a Barnstable Police patrolman was dispatched after the Barnstable Police received a crash scene notification from a “Ford vehicle” in the area of 338 Main Street. As you will hear in the following HN video/audio, the first policeman on scene reported the crash being right in the middle of the intersection of Main Street and Barnstable Road. Hyannis Fire was already en route to the scene due to the report of airbag deployment. The first policeman on scene then reported that one of the cars (a red Toyota w/ Connecticut plates) “took off” from the scene. Additional Barnstable Police cruisers were called to assist. Police encountered the driver of a red Toyota with Connecticut plates (the one that reportedly “took off”) on Barnstable Road at the intersection with North Street. The driver was arrested for OUI and Leaving the Scene, according to sources. An individual was transported from the scene to Cape Cod Hospital, according to sources. HN has reached out to the Hyannis Fire Department for additional details and will update this report as those details become available.  UPDATE – 2/10/25 @ 1:30 P.M: According to Captain Peter Nagorka of the HFD, a patient was transported to CCH from the crash scene to be evaluated for possible minor injuries.   HN has also reached out to the Barnstable Police Department and will hopefully have additional details later today… The following HN “video” contains Barnstable Police radio transmissions from this morning’s crash scene.
