***  WATCH ***  FIREFIGHTERS SAVE YARMOUTH HOME AFTER CHIMNEY FIRE EXTENDS INTO WALLS

WEST YARMOUTH, MASSACHUSETTS –  [HN VIDEO NOTES]  –  At around 9:30 p.m. Sunday evening, Yarmouth Firefighters responded to a home on Jerusha Lane for reports of a fire.  Arriving crews encountered smoke coming from the walls near the chimney.  Occupants were evacuated.  Firefighters opened the walls around the fireplace in an effort to track down the flames.  At one point, flames were discovered in the basement underneath the fireplace.  Once exposed, the fire was knocked down relatively quickly.  There were no reported injuries.  The following HN Video shows firefighters ultimately saving a family’s home in West Yarmouth.  [HN VIDEO –  PRESS PLAY]
