MASHPEE, MASSACHUSETTS –  Five ambulances responded, and a total of five people were transported from a two-vehicle crash on Route 151 last evening, according to Mashpee Fire officials. The crash happened at the intersection with Algonquin Ave at around 11:30 p.m. Medflight helicopters were not flying due to weather conditions. Two patients were taken off-Cape to St. Luke Hospital in New Bedford. Two patients were transported to Cape Cod Hospital. And one patient was transported to Falmouth Hospital. Rte. 151 was completely shut down into the early morning hours while accident reconstruction specialists worked to piece things together.
