BARNSTABLE, MASSACHUSETTS –  At around 12:40 p.m. today – Thursday, November 7, 2024 – Barnstable Police patrol officers rushed to the Dollar Tree store in the Festival Plaza after receiving a number of 911 calls that a juvenile female had just been stabbed and the suspect was still in the doorway of the store. According to sources, the juvenile female was suddenly stabbed in the buttocks when a random stranger approached and attacked her without provocation. The man was reportedly not known by the girl and there apparently was no motivation, according to sources. The juvenile female was transported to Cape Cod Hospital for treatment of what is believed to be a non-life-threatening stab wound… [DEVELOPING] As you will hear in the following HN video which contains reader cellphone video and HN recordings of police radio transmissions, a 31-year-old male was taken into custody and transported back to BPD Headquarters. The male suspect reportedly had an outstanding arrest warrant for allegedly not showing up to court on a previous matter. The male suspect was reportedly involved in another separate knife-involved incident where he allegedly threatened another in May of 2023, according to sources.
