HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS –  A woman was struck by a full-size pickup truck on West Main Street in Hyannis at around 5:30 p.m.  The driver of the pickup remained on scene and was speaking with Barnstable Police officers.  The woman suffered serious multi-trauma, including a head injury.  She was “unresponsive.” A Medflight helicopter was requested to Cape Cod Gateway Airport.  While en route to the airport, the Hyannis FD ambulance was rerouted to Cape Cod Hospital after the airlift was canceled due to weather conditions in the area.  West Main Street in the area of number 125 needed to be completely closed down while police conducted an accident reconstruction.  [HN VIDEO – PRESS PLAY]
