Provincetown (P’town)/ Cape Cod (28.7-31.7) MacMillam Wharf, we could leave the dinghy there   the Pilgrim Monument   the building of Ptowns public library   some pretty houses with a lot of green           a crazy shop   providing a lot of stuff   there was a lot going on in Ptown   so many possibilities – hard to choose   a horseshoe crab   El Capitano at tideland   a cormorant drying its wings   busy Main Street in Ptown with many many tourists, it was the week of the largest annual gathering of LGBTQ+ families in the world (of course the largest in the world😉 we were in the USA!)           Three Rotating Bureaucrats, 2006 by George Mossman Greenamyer(1939-2023) Sculpture an Educator   a pretty big size model of the Rose Dorothea Schooner was integrated in the public library , that boat won the famous Lipton Cup race in the early 1900’s   Marion (31.7-02.8)   crossing the Cape Cod bay to the entrance of the canal, it was cold but we could sail!!!!   reaching the railroad bridge in the CCC   the typical sight in a canal   the pretty bay of Marion   Ram Island   maybe that was singing Marion???   the very tidy dinghy dock in Marion   we could see it was another low budget village       the view from a garden of one of the low budget houses   isn’t that a cool anemometer – the flying mermaid   I liked the shape of that tree – like a Christmas one       waiting for our friend to pickup up   Susan and us, we had forgotten to take a pic earlier that’s why we only toasted with ketchup and co   she had a nice car   I missed what this statue was about   sunrise just before we left   Port Washington (4.8-10.8) and the way to Chesapeake City   this beauty could sail super close haul with its high performance sails and shape, we were a bit jealous as we could only motor sail   leaving our overnight stop Point Judith to head for Port Washington   the sun trying to squeeze through the hazy morning hours   back in PW and off to NYC   one of the many churches in Manhattan   that couple was funny, he was videoing her booty while walking across the street   found those guys in the subway   central station once again   East River heading south   Cable car at Queensboro bridge           passing Manhattan bridge   skyline of Manhattan financial district, we were just out of the East River   everyone knows this big lady   we were motoring but at least enjoying nice weather, almost 24 hours later than the previous pic   already pretty far up the Delaware Bay not far from the entrance of the Chesapeake Canal   inside the Canal just behind the first bridge   the atmosphere was beautiful   and a little fog was hovering over the canal   Chesapeake City (12.8-14.8)   the small harbour of Chesapeake City, we were so happy to have direct shore access for a change   we were just at the entrance at the harbour, the canal was just a step further out with its strong current   there was little park just next to us   and this huge ship was going through the canal – I wouldn’t have thought that it would fit       I always thought mushrooms would love shady places?   Chesapeake City Harbour   marina, restaurant and entertaining centre all in one building   Rock Hall (14.8-19.8)   almost at the end of the Chesapeake Canal entering Elk River to head to Rock Hall   they were so much bigger than us!!!   seagulls loved the sand on the platform the push boat was pushing   Rock Hall bay, this fisherman was collecting crabs, we could not figure out how he did it, somehow with those little red bags, a complete different way than catching with the crab pots   we had a ride around town and checked on our friends boat which was for sale   Haven Harbour South Marina   grocery shopping in Rock Hall came with potential tipping for candidates, I wasn’t sure if that was hilarious or scary   we were enjoying a beer at a tiki bar   hiding from the rain at Haven Harbor where we docked the dinghy       just liked the pretty grasses   oyster man   and some beloved crab pots   a small souvenir shop   koi fish at the Haven Harbor marina
