HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS – [HN PHOTO NOTES & MULLINGS] – HN has been to too many overdoses and dangerous drug reactions to count or remember. It’s a daily and nightly occurrence on the Cape, and Hyannis sees more than its fair share. Very few things surprise me anymore, but Sunday morning was as alarming as it was different. So much so, I felt it important to report on it… to address the so called “elephant in the room.” For whatever evil drug took hold of this poor man’s mind and body is perhaps something the larger community should be made aware of… and there’s no telling what could have happened had the police not heard the man’s tormented screams. They were screams from a soul suffering pure evil. They were the screams of a man fighting back against an evil substance. They were the screams of a man crying out from the darkness for help. And I sincerely hope that anyone who knows this man realizes he’s extremely lucky police and firefighters came to help when they did. I hope both he and his friends also realize that the evil drug which took hold of his mind and body, failed to take hold of his soul and spirit. I was there, and I saw the battle with my own eyes. It was a battle of a soul fighting back against evil. A soul trying to escape the hold of evil. A soul fighting back against death. A soul desperately praying to find life and comfort again.
I’ve been asked if I have ever seen God or the hand of God at any of the wicked scenes I’ve come across during my years covering crime and emergency scenes. And the short answer is “yes…” but it’s more difficult to describe than the presence of evil, because it’s a matter of my own subjective belief and faith. Evil is a different story entirely. Evil is much easier to recognize and describe, for it is the complete opposite of the Divine. It requires a lower level of understanding because it is merely a less sophisticated, earthly force. It doesn’t take much study or spiritual development to recognize pure evil. But it’s something every seeker of wisdom needs to be aware of.
I see and recognize pure evil every night. I’ve seen it held a bay. I’ve seen it vanquished. And I’ve also have seen it take hold and destroy lives.
Dangerous drugs are pure evil. And whatever force possesses a poor soul to inject or ingest a dangerous drug is also pure evil. Pure evil wants your soul. It then wants your life. And the only three solutions available are either (1) prison, (2) death, or (3) the miracle of recovery. I wish recovery for all those I see afflicted by drug induced evil. I pray they will be someday blessed with the miracle of sanity.
I pray every single night. I pray all night. Prayer sustains me. Prayer protects me against the same forces that cause others to risk their lives by ingesting the dangerous drugs that bring out darkness and pure evil. I pray constantly for the afflicted, as well as for myself.
The out-of-control behavior I witnessed early Sunday did not belong to the poor soul suffering and fighting to be rid of it. The violent convulsions, jumping, spitting and howling did not belong to the poor man trying to escape its hold. No, those horrible symptoms belonged to the pure evil brought on by the unknown, illicit substance that was intentionally put on our streets to snatch souls.
Sunday morning, I witnessed pure evil cause the afflicted man to jump high into the air from a complete squat for what seemed like a hundred times, maybe more. It was as if the man’s soul was desperately trying to escape the demons. It was as if the man’s soul was attempting to jump far, far away from the diabolical force that had savagely taken hold of his body, causing it to contort, convulse, and overheat.
The man inside, the one fighting the effects of the evil drug, was reaching out to police and firefighters for help. He was in the throes of darkness and anxiety. He could not sit still, and his possessed body was dangerously close to its life-threatening limits. The temperature outside Sunday morning at 4:00 a.m. was approximately 77 °F. The humidity was extremely high, around 90% or higher. If left alone, the man would have become more and more dehydrated and overheated…
… it would not have ended well.
Police and firefighters repeatedly attempted to calm and reassure the man while attempting to strap him onto a stretcher. It took a while of enduring spit, wild flailing, loud grunts and demonic howls for the team of police officers and firefighters to finally secure the poor soul’s body safely upon that stretcher. His body wasn’t cooperating, so it had to be corralled and tied down prior to being transported to Cape Cod Hospital.
Please pray for this man. Please pray that others are not overcome by the evil forces that cause poor souls to ingest dangerous drugs. Please pray for miracles.
