“Each atom of that stone, each mineral flake of that night-filled mountain, in itself, forms a world. The struggle itself toward the heights is enough to fill a man’s heart. One must imagine Sisyphus happy.” ~ Albert Camus, The Myth of Sisyphus     Above HN photos: Shortly after 3:00 a.m. this morning, Yarmouth cops had to suddenly scramble toward some type of rolling disturbance/nonsense when a driver reported he was being followed all over town. About 20 minutes earlier, the same caller reported the same vehicle waiting in a parking lot across the street from where he was parked. In the first call, the suspicious vehicle had left prior to officers arriving. In the second call, a traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Station Ave and White’s Path. The male driver who had allegedly been following the other driver was detained in handcuffs. The call ended with officers reaching an understanding with both drivers. The handcuffs came off and officers cleared, reporting peace had been restored.     Above HN photos: A number of Yarmouth police cruisers responded to Cape Cod Hospital last evening after learning about a stabbing in their town. A young man had reportedly been stabbed in the leg but was reluctant to go to the hospital for some reason. Officers searched for a pickup truck while trying to encourage the stabbing victim to come to the hospital. Two McDonald’s parking lots – one in Yarmouth, the other in Hyannis – were searched to no avail…  and it ended up being a no show at CCH.  The YPD is investigating.   Above HN photo: A number of Barnstable patrol officers responded to Main Street, Hyannis for report of fight early this morning, shortly before the rains. They located a man who said he had just been jumped and beaten up. He was apparently banged up but did not go to hospital. And the suspect skedaddled before the cops arrived. The BPD is investigating… Above HN photo: A state trooper speaks with a passenger during a routine traffic stop in Hyannis Friday evening, prior to midnight. The vehicle needed to be towed and the statie ended up giving at least one of the occupants a courtesy ride to a Hyannis address.   Rain, rain, go away…   P.S. – Today’s Hytown Vignette is a brought to you by Ramsey Lewis… [CLICK IT/CRANK IT!
