SOUTH YARMOUTH – [HN PHOTO NOTES] – HN caught the tale end of the annual Polar Plunge at Smugglers Beach today. According to the YPD, the event supports the Yarmouth Council on Aging & the Yarmouth Senior Center. The event was very well attended with a parking lot and beach completely full of polar bears and polar bear watchers.     A lively group of hardy pickleball players who normally hang out together at the Flax Pond recreation area posed for a group photo after emerging from the water. It should be noted, the congenial ambassadors of the game did not appear at all fazed or otherwise uncomfortable after today’s “polar” dip.     P.S. – Today’s Hytown Vignette is a brought to you by José Feliciano – California Dreamin’ (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood scenes)…  [CLICK IT/CRANK IT!
