SOUTH YARMOUTH, Massachusetts – A 6-month-old baby “migrant” baby was rushed to Cape Cod Hospital from the Harborside Suites in a Yarmouth ambulance earlier today. The call came in shortly prior to 5pm. The initial call was for a baby who had possibly swallowed an object. But as you will hear in audio captured of a paramedic speaking with CCH, there was a “language barrier” and it was uncertain whether the baby had been ill or choking. The baby had phlegm coming from her mouth, with blood-tinged sputum, according to radio transmissions. The child was awake and crying. Today’s emergency rescue call comes a day after migrant Haitian families arrived at the Harborside Suites, located at 961 Route 28.
