HYANNIS – As you can see & hear in the following HN Video, at around 12:20 a.m. this morning, a BMW SUV left the roadway and struck the front entranceway to a home located near the intersection of Craigville Beach Road and Old Town Road. The driver, who reportedly lives in Hyannis, had been traveling home from an off-Cape concert when she apparently dozed off behind the wheel. Her vehicle left the roadway and narrowly avoided striking several well-established trees prior to crashing into the home’s front pillar and doorsteps.  She was transported to Cape Cod Hospital by Hyannis Rescue, conscious and alert. The occupants of the home were awakened by the loud crash but were not physically injured.  The Barnstable Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash. The following HN Video highlights the scene. [HN VIDEO – PRESS PLAY]
