Poem: A Walk on the Beach

A Walk on The Beach   It is the offseason. The beaches are empty. There is room enough for daydreamsthe size of the sky.   Of love uninhibited. Of silence and spaceenough my sins can all be emptiedand nothing, not even the sky, is sullied.   I dream of being here with you. No words needed. Hands touching as we walk, certain, so certain, of each other’s love   that words would be superfluous, God walking with us, the great giverof surprises.   Contentment does not come easy for me. The world is too noisy. Too needy and I am often uncomfortable   at my good fortune, of love arrivingwhen least expected, of the opportunityto empty myself and recreate the broken parts   instead of having to fix them.   About this poem.   A poem about love.
