Someone told me the other day that dictators are only dictators if the State Department says they are, otherwise they are Grade A American allies right up there with Russia and China, two police states that literally make the U.S. grovel. It is real simple, he said. "We've got the dictators we like because even though they murder and imprison most of their opposition, they do favors for us." Like with Egypt, all these decades of ignoring the worst kind of evil government you can imagine. And we were still making excuses for the the psychos who terrorized them even as their people were saying "enough is enough."
The news should have gone something like this. "Well you know Don, this psycho Mubarak, who regularly murders his people on a whim, has been a good friend of the U.S. for 30 years now. And we have to take that into consideration. We're losing an important ally here." Truth is, that is pretty close to how it was reported. But no one seemed to think there was anything unusual about the U.S. supporting a vicious police state.
It is like that in nations throughout the Middle East. We have, for example, the oppressive police state of Saudi Arabia, whose citizens were directly responsible for the events on 9/11. They actually hijacked and flew the planes. It is even believed by some in the CIA that wealthy Saudi citizens helped to fund the operation. And yet, the U.S. is a good friend of this police state to this very day.George Bush actually kisses the chubby little hand of its fake king. And Barack Obama treats him like a God. Oil is why.
Then we've got all our favorite corrupt and murderous leaders who are in the process of being overthrown by their own people in the Middle East. After all this nonsense about radical Islam taking over the world, starting with the Middle East, it seems all these people want is a good old-fashioned democracy. You can just bet the CIA is already on the ground in these places trying to work a deal with whichever side looks as though it might win
So, with apologies to Bob Dylan, what we hear coming out of Washington is only the "idiot wind" As Dylan would say, "It's a wonder that you still know how to breathe."
Forget the Middle East for a few minutes and cast your eyes on Central America, where the U.S. has been manipulating history for more than a century. The U.S. installed a drug dealer and murderer in office in Panama and had good relations with him for a long time. But the very first time he refused to do what we told him, we dragged Noreaga off to jail, even charging him with what we knew he had been doing for years.
That's the message to all Central American leaders from the bully of the world, the U.S. It is really quite simple, do what we ask or we will destroy you, kill your family, right down to your youngest child. We will train your own people on a special fort just for that purpose located in the South and we will send them back with orders to kill as many innocent people and religious missionaries as possible. They will rape nuns by the dozen, these people the U.S.has trained. And they will machine gun priests. Just ask any Nicaraguan around during Reagan's criminal regime.
The U.S. are the bully boys who feed on the sick and the meek. The U.S. is the nation who comes into other nations seeking ways to extract their natural resources and wealth. And when the U.S. is told to get back on the plane and fly back to Washington, they have a tendency to get very angry. This is when the CIA really gets involved.
The first proposed solution: How can we destabilize that nation? There are many ways. The best is to infiltrate the opposition political party, supply them with some heavy weapons and choreograph a civil war. While this is happening the State Department is busy making up a thousand lies or so for the propaganda program that will go hand-in-hand with the phony Civil War. The U.S. mass media will gladly report these lies as fact.
The Banana Republic days are over, and someone in Washington has to let that sink in and allow those people in Central America and farther South to run their own lives. Look at Cuba and how many years it was stolen from its people by United Fruit, a U.S. Corporation and the Mafia and their damn casinos in Havana.
A young man named Castro, took to the hills with his friends and followers, built an army and sent the U.S. on it's way. In fact, there was even a time after he threw them out when the U.S. State Department invited Castro to the U.S., to the White House. He made an appearance on the Ed Sullivan show. He was considered a real hero.
Then Castro let the next shoe drop. He nationalized all U.S.business interests on Cuba. He told United Fruit, to go pay their slave wages elsewhere, to find some other children to work to death. That's when the U.S. decided it didn't like Castro. That's when they decided to kill him or invade his island, neither of which worked. Then they cut his aid. The Soviets offered aid; he took that. The Soviets withdrew aid; he rolled with that. He has been in power now going on 60 years.
Cuba has a better health care system and a better education system than the U.S. That's right. If your are ill in Cuba, you will receive better health care (free) and have a better chance of survival than you would if you lived here. And the schooling is also free. Is Castro a dictator? Yes. But he is the leader of a sovereign nation, so what's it to you?
What kind of nation is the United States, trying to rule the world while not even taking care of its own people? This is what occurs when insanity pairs with stupidy And you can hear it in the wild and reckless opinions of some of our people too, who are so prone to the propaganda and indoctrination offered up by the criminals in this government that their opinions make them sound like they just stepped out of a cornfield - or more appropriately, a cave.
