Obama might be a sell-out, could be a back-stabber, or maybe just a man sick of being president who wants to cash out to go where the real money is. Whatever the reason, everyone seems to agree that he got his lunch handed to him yesterday in his quest to raise the debt ceiling by the republicans and their crazed Tea Party goblins. And he ate that lunch and went home.

Anything for "the deal." Anything to ensure that the nation doesn't default on its debt - which it is doing for two reasons, each one as significant as the other.

Lack of revenue. The republicans and the Tea Party have formed a circle of defense around a few thousand ( out of millions) families in America to protect them from increased taxes on their fantastic income which would have been twice or even three times what they were in any other decade in American history. The longer this nation survives, the less taxes the wealthy pay. Now it looks like things are going downhill, and the wealthy get another tax break. And when it is all gone, who will be knocking at their door demanding most of their stash of money? The U.S., that's who. They will need these funds just to survive. So think about it Mr. Billionaire, it might not be the deal you think.

Lack of jobs. Jobs don't exist for serveral reasons. Corporations, most of whom already don't pay any taxes, are manufacturing their goods overseas where the labor is cheap and the regulators are paid full-time to look the other way. In addition to that, the nation doesn't have the funds necessary to "start up" a new industry like alternative energy, for example. Brazil has more money to do that than the U.S.

In fact a lof of U.S. workers are going to Brazil for good paying jobs, close to one million, according to their president. Good-paying jobs can not be found in the U.S. anymore. They too have been sacrificed on the bloody Republican - Tea Party alter where only the worship of the isanely wealthy is allowed, and the Lord's Prayer begins, "Our father does not pay taxes . . ."

This latest raising of the debt ceiling has been called a "punt" by some politicians, "Kicking the can down the road," is another old shoe. Meanwhile the big guys talk about down grading the government's credit rating, potentially making it more difficult to purchase anything and even harder than it is now to launch a new business.

It is shameful that the republican - Tea Party in Congress would allow something as dreadful as this to descend upon our lives just to save a few bucks for people who already own most of the wealth in American. But that is what they are prepared to do.

"He got rolled on," said a democrat Senator refering to Obama's talks leading up to the announcement which will be made later today that an agreement has been reached. Another Senator referred to the deal as a "Satan Sandwich." He went on to say, "I dont have any idea of anything the republicans wanted that they didn't get."

So Obama sold us down the river once again. He has shown a distinct unwillingness to lead, this man who promised us the world, then sat back and did nothing. He has made too many compromises, He has, in fact, been beaten up. And he has continued, along with the republicans and the Tea Party to exempt the wealthiest from sacrifices,

On the other hand Obama has also given away the store. He has shown great disrespect and disloyalty to the working men and women of America. For this he willl not be forgiven. His throne will be taken away from him and another liar will replace him. That has been our experience since the Reagan years. Lies, lies and more lies. Followed by attacks on Social Security, which they have been taking out of your pay for years. They took it, forgot about the "lockbox," and now they don't want to give it back.

Attacks on Medicare and Medicaid, are usually funded and carried out by our monopolistic health care system that has us ranked as 38th in the world for quality of medical care. How could we let this happen to us? How could we watch our education system become one of the world's worst? Our infant mortality rate has increased significantly; we now die earlier than we used to. Our hospitals are death traps. Our nursing homes are institutions of elder abuse. And we sit here and watch the fake news every night as if nothing has happened.

But something has. This U.S. is no longer the U.S. I grew up in. People can finally look back to the good old days. Finally the U.S. has been halted in its tracks by two useless and needless wars and the deregualtion of our banking and financial markets. We have been knocked on our butts. And all the other countries are walking by us now.

We were better off in 1960, 1970, 1980, 1990, 2000, then the slide, as greed defeated morality right there in the halls of Congress and on Wall Street, not to mention at your neighborhood bank, and we all watched, some of us thinking that maybe greed wasn't such a bad thing afterall. How do you feel about it now?

How does Obama feel now? He, the man of change, change for the worse, change so bad you wouldn't think he could do it without a roomful of geniuses working fulltime just to destroy the nation and its future. He will go home Mr. Obama. He will always be taken care of by those he took care of during his presidency. And he will also receive a fortune from those to whom he gave nothing. He will build his library on our dime. Everything he does is on our dime and always will be.

Now he will raise the debt ceiling, which he had to do, inpart, beause he gave all the nation's money to the banks, to the investment houses, to the wealthy, to the corporations. And to us? We got nothing. We got less than before.

And we can look forward to paying for all Obama's give-aways for many years to come.
