ORLEANS, MASSACHUSETTS – [HN VIDEO NOTES] – On the early morning of July 28, 2025, an Orleans Fire Department ambulance crew rushed a 17-year-old male to Cape Cod Hospital with life-threatening injuries, classified as a “priority one” trauma, following an incident where he was reportedly pushed through a glass window, according to emergency radio transmissions. Hyannis News (HN) was covering a separate story in West Yarmouth when the initial call from Orleans came over the radio, indicating a serious situation involving both police and fire personnel. The severity of the teen’s injuries prompted HN to monitor the developing incident closely. As detailed in the accompanying HN video, a paramedic in the ambulance en route to Cape Cod Hospital declared a “priority one trauma alert,” describing the patient as a 17-year-old male with a significant laceration, approximately one foot in length, extending along his right side toward his back. The paramedic expressed concern that the injury might be partially compromising the teen’s airway. Friends at the scene reportedly removed a shard of glass from the teen’s back, raising additional concerns about the depth and severity of the puncture wound. Upon arrival at Cape Cod Hospital’s emergency room, the ambulance crew’s urgency underscored the critical nature of the teen’s condition. Details surrounding the incident remain limited, including whether it was an accident or a criminal matter. HN contacted the Orleans Police Department early this Tuesday morning, leaving a message with the on-duty sergeant to seek clarification on the circumstances and the teen’s current condition. Official updates will be provided as soon as they become available. [HN VIDEO – PRESS PLAY]
