security patrol property check service

HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS – [HN PHOTO NOTES] – Barnstable patrol officers responded to a parking lot on West Main, at around 11:00 p.m. last evening, for a report of a female assaulting a male. Responding squad cars were advised the female had a knife in her hand. The scene was secure when HN arrived on scene moments later. There was no ongoing assault at that point. A woman holding a baby was calmly speaking with officers. She was standing outside of a red sedan that had its lights turned on. Both driver-side doors were open. The alleged male victim was presumably speaking with officers out of view behind a nearby fenced area. Officers walked back and forth between the red sedan and the fenced area. An ambulance was not requested to the scene. A member of sheriff’s crime scene unit responded to take photos and process evidence. In one of the above photos, she assisted a Barnstable patrolman with securing a large kitchen knife in a brown paper evidence bag. An adult female civilian arrived on scene to take custody of the baby. Officers helped transfer a baby’s car seat and bag from the red sedan to the woman’s vehicle. Once arrangements were made for the baby, the woman standing outside of the red sedan was handcuffed and taken into custody, quietly and without incident. Police had helped defuse what was initially described as a very volatile situation… on an unpleasantly hot and humid evening. Ultimately, nobody was badly hurt. According to sources, the woman was arrested on domestic and knife-related charges. (Due to state law, police cannot release specific details in domestic-related arrests until after the arraignment. No further details were available at the time of this report.) * The initial details contained in the above report are based on police radio transmissions and information on scene. The defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law. IN OTHER RECENT HN PHOTOS: It’s not an easy life, to be homeless on the streets of Hyannis…         ABOVE: An elderly gentleman was found partially in the roadway after a fall early this morning.  He was spotted by someone up early and working in the area of Route 28 and Ridgewood Ave.  The man was unable to get up and was in a lot of pain.  He was described as being in his 70s, suffering from knee and elbow pain.  He also struck his head during the fall.  He had been walking, pushing a cart when he lost balance and fell.  Barnstable Police officers shielded him from traffic while a Hyannis FD ambulance crew responded.  He was eventually transported to the emergency room at Cape Cod Hospital.  It’s a good thing he was spotted!
