People took cover as the high winds sandblasted everything. It was difficult to walk and see at times. (Holdin the camera steady was nearly impossible…)  The fierce winds were steady for the better part of an hour, damaging tents and the entrance to a makeshift banquet hall. The banquet hall needed to be evacuated. Due to safety concerns regarding flying debris, Barnstable Police needed to completely close down a section Craigville Beach Road that runs along the beach. At least one person was injured and transported to Cape Cod Hospital. The high winds gradually began to slow slightly at around 4:45 p.m. Police reportedly reopened the roadway at around 5:45 p.m. The following HN footage highlights a dangerous scene that took everyone by surprise… [HN VIDEO – PRESS PLAY] P.S. – Today’s Hytown Vignette is a brought to you by The Ohio Players…  [CLICK IT/CRANK IT!
