EAST FALMOUTH –  [HN VIDEO NOTES]  –  [DEVELOPING DETAILS]  –  As you will see and hear in the following HN Video, rescuers scrambled to free a patient from a fiery single-vehicle crash Saturday evening.  Just prior to 11:00 p.m. last evening –  Saturday, May 17, 2025 –  Falmouth Police and Firefighters responded to a report of single-vehicle “rollover” crash in the area of 14 Acapesket Road.  Responding firefighters were updated that the car was on fire with a person trapped inside.  Police arrived and confirmed that the car was on fire with entrapment.  Once the fire was extinguished, firefighters worked to extricate the patient from the mangled wreckage.  A Medflight helicopter was requested… but Medflight was not flying last evening, according to emergency radio transmissions.  The patient was eventually transported to Falmouth Hospital in “trauma one” condition, according to radio transmissions. Falmouth Police patrol officers cordoned off the entire area as members of Falmouth PD detective division also responded.  A call was put out for members of Cape’s accident reconstruction team to respond.  Witnesses described a harrowing scene, with first responders attempting to save a person trapped inside a burning vehicle.  HN will share official, updated details as the investigation unfolds.  The following HN Video highlights the crash scene, along with some of the radio transmissions from police and firefighters… [HN VIDEO –  PRESS PLAY]
