                HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS – [HN PHOTO NOTES] – Barnstable Police and Hyannis Firefighters responded to a crash at the intersection of Route 28 and Pitcher’s Way during this evening’s commute, at around 5:00 p.m. Route 28 eastbound commuter traffic was detoured, while westbound traffic was slowed as first responders worked the scene. Two people were transported to Cape Cod Hospital. A woman was conscious and alert on a stretcher when HN arrived on scene. A male passenger from a second vehicle suffered a head laceration. All injuries were believed to be non-life-threatening. The Barnstable Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
